Kabalana Beach

Suitable for all levels of surfer. The shallow white water is perfect for learners and the peaky beach breaks are super fun for all levels.

The Rock

A fast, punchy left-hander, this wave is a favourite for goofy footers. Best for intermediate and advanced surfers depending on the swell.

Sticks

A super fun, peaky spot which can handle a variety of swell sizes. Named after the famous local stilt fisherman.

Marshmellows

As the name suggests, this wave is fat and squishy! Great for those looking to progress as well as a favourite for longboards and mid-lengths.

This package includes:

• 5 x morning surf lessons

Want to learn to surf in Sri Lanka but not able to fit in the full week long surf package?

No worries, our buddies at Ticket To Ride also offer a couple of single surf lesson options that you can easily fit into your stay with us:

Private surf lesson - £80

This 1:1 surf lesson is two hours long and can be fitted in anytime during the day that suits you. All surf equipment is included and if you want to add on an extra person (up to 4 total) it’s £40pp for them to be included.

Private Surf Experience – £120

This 1:1 experience is suitable for all levels of surf and includes:

• Pre surf coffee / bananas and a briefing with your coach

• Private 2 hour in-water surf lesson

• Post surf breakfast

• Video analysis and theory class.

• All surf equipment

Want to turn the beach into your office and become a surf instructor?

Secret Spot Villa is the base for a Boutique 5 Week Sri Lanka Surf Instructor Course in April each year - which includes the ISA Level 1 and ILS Water Safety examinations.

These two qualifications are recognised globally and are the perfect entry level courses to begin your career as a surf intructor.

Aimed at intermidiate surfers, it’s ideal for those who want to get their ISA Level1, make some great industry contacts and enjoy some tropical vibes and super fun waves in Sri Lanka at the same time.

With just six spots available it’s the perfect way to complete your surf coaching exams in style as well as including a week at Arugam Bay on the East Coast post course.
